How to complete GCSE revision on the go

When you’re revising for your GCSEs, whether it’s for your mocks or those all-important final exams, it can be a challenge to fit revision into your busy schedule. But keeping on top of your exam preparation doesn’t have to mean giving up your social life or other activities that you love. With a bit of planning, you can drill the must remember facts into your head while you’re on the go.

Of course, you still need to plan some serious study sessions where you sit down and work through a test paper or your notes. But bite sized chucks of revision throughout your day can stick in your mind just as well and they’ll be split up breaking down the usual dull task. Whether you’re travelling to class in the morning on a bus or are in a car journey, it is possible to complete your revision while you’re on the move.

Download or create some audio notes

You’ll be surprised how much you take in when you’re listening. Downloading or creating your own audio files filled with essential information means all you need to do is put on your headphones to get in some revision, whether you’re waiting for the train to arrive or your walking to your next destination.

Watch videos through your smartphone

If you’re a visual learner, videos are the simple way to learn while you’re out – especially if you can tap into some free wifi. School Exams offers you tutorial videos for all the papers you can complete – you’re guaranteed over 90 minutes of video for each GCSE paper that you can watch whenever and wherever you want.

Get out your book

The old school method is still a worthwhile revision tool. Keeping a useful book in your bag means you can have a quick revision session whenever you get the chance by scanning a few pages. Of course, you can download books on to your mobile or tablet too.

Make some flashcards

Flashcards are a tried and tested way of helping to remember the key facts you need for your exams. Keep them handy and they’re a useful revision tool suitable for when you’re on the go once you’ve made them.

Discover some revision apps

If you want to use technology, apps are a useful way of revising wherever you are, whether that’s on your sofa at home or while you’re out and about. There’s a huge selection of interactive options to choose from, some even let you compete against your friends to achieve the top marks.
